The optical size axis (opsz)
Of the 558 variable families in the library, 29 have an optical size axis (opsz). Optical size adjusts the drawing for the text size it is set at, in points. The most common range is 10 to 72, used by 3 of them. Serifs account for 13. The earliest-dated family with this axis today is Merriweather, added in 2011; the date is when the family joined, not when it became variable.
