The lowercase runs from DM Serif Text, the shortest at 480 units per 1,000 em, to DM Sans at 526. In width, DM Serif Text is the narrowest (510) and Space Mono the widest (612). Beyond Latin, the families cover one subset: Vietnamese. Measured against the medians of their own classes, one of the five families with ascenders have a taller x-height, three of all five set a wider lowercase and four a darker one.
